Discover How to Read Palms: What Your Lifeline Can Tell You

Here is some useful information about how to read palms, specifically, the life line of the palm. The life line is the most misunderstood line of the palm. It is still widely believed that this line can determine how long you are going to live. Actually, the Lifeline does NOT indicate the length of life at all. In fact, all the lines on your hand can change over time, even the Lifeline. This is why lines of the palm, in general, are not used to predict hard and fast future events and I’ve certainly noticed changes in my palm lines over the years.

Reading the Life Line of the Palm

The lifeline of the palm does offer a fair amount of useful information, however. It tells you about your vitality and stability. The life line of the palm indicates your connection to home and how introverted or extroverted you maybe.

First let’s take a look at some palmistry basics, such as where the Lifeline of the palm is located on your hand.

The starting point will be somewhere between the thumb and the Jupiter (index) finger. The closer to the Jupiter finger it starts, the more ambitious your nature will be.

Here is an example of a high starting life line on the palm

(see image top left).

In addition to where the line starts, we must also look at where it ends. If your life line winds deep into the thumb ball, then you feel a strong connection to your home and country.

If it just drops straight down into the wrist, then you would be comfortable in any location.

Sometimes the Lifeline wanders over to the Luna mount. This is the region of the palm near the wrist and furthest away from the thumb. If you have this configuration, it shows that you have already or will detach from your home country, both physically and emotionally. This is common with immigrants.

How to Read the Quality of the Life Line When Reading Palms

When we are learning how to read our own palm, it is also important to check the quality of the life line.

Palm lines can be thin or thick. A thin line does not necessarily indicate a weakness, but it should be compared with other lines in the palm.

The life line of the palm should be the strongest line in the hand. Breaks in the lifeline are actually quite common. They indicate a change in stability.

If there are many breaks, many physical moves are indicated. A short life line indicates this also, but it also adds the element of not being tied to a specific country. If the breaks overlap, then you will be able to handle the changes.

If there is a break in the life line of the palm, with a gap and then a continuation along the same plane, this indicates a major problem, usually an accident, illness or severe trauma.

As you can see, learning how to read palms, and in particular the life line of the palm is a complex and fascinating science. It’s not only about understanding the nuances of each marking but being able to tie it all together and use the information to assist you in your life.
