Mindfulness Matters: How Living in the Present Moment Can Change Your Life

How present are you right now? Are you really here? Or is your mind off somewhere else caught up in thinking and emotions or the past and the future?

It is all too easy to live focused on the next item on our never-ending to-do list, hoping to get it checked off and feel good.

This absent-mindedness, however, can create an entirely different way of being and acting in the world.

When we allow ourselves to simply drop into the present moment as it is – to practice residing in awareness, in the domain of being, of “non-doing”, the miracle of mindfulness can reconnect us to the inherent richness of life that can only be found and inhabited in this timeless moment we call “now.”

Jon Kabat-Zinn on Mindfulness & How Cultivating Mindfulness Practices Can Lead to …

  • Relief from Overwhelm & Anxiety: Experience a greater sense of spaciousness and ease by learning how to skillfully navigate day-to-day stress
  • Heightened Resilience: Mindfulness practices establish a sense of embodied presence, allowing you to weather challenges and setbacks wisely
  • Increased Awareness: What is mindfulness? Mindfulness matters with the intent to illuminate the nature of your thoughts, emotions, and what we commonly call “self,” and how they relate to the larger world and your unique trajectory through life
  • Habits for Flourishing: Explore mindful hatha yoga and movement practices that promote health and well-being at every level. Join Jon Kabat-Zinn on mindfulness for beginners.
  • Greater Self-Discipline: Develop or deepen an ongoing meditation practice tailored to your needs and longings
  • Everyday Empowerment: Mindfulness matters with the intent to open to and befriend the present moment, even in the face of “the full catastrophe” of the human condition
