Understanding Levels of Consciousness Can Open You Up to Truth and Authentic Power
I have found that understanding levels of consciousness, as researched and calibrated by Dr. David R. Hawkins in his renowned book Power vs Force, can be:
- Healing and
Who’da thunk that consciousness or, maybe more easily understood, the energy of everything that ever was or is or could be, can be calibrated as to its level of consciousness, truth, and power (as in energy to create or positively manifest whatever it is that you hold in mind).
I’d like to use the power levels of electricity measured in watts (for devices requiring small doses of energy), kilowatts (for larger dose devices), megawatts (even more energy) or gigawatts (really more energy) as a metaphor for consciousness in the hopes that this analogy will help you with conceptualizing this significant understanding.
More on this later in the post where I reveal calibrated levels of consciousness as elucidated on Dr. Hawkins renowned Map of Consciousness®
How Can Understanding Levels of Consciousness Make a Difference in Your Life?
Well, it will put into context where true power really exists!
In other words, it will give you a point of reference as to where to focus your attention and intentions for a better, happier, more balanced and joyful life.
You may be aware that we are an awakening consciousness. An awakening consciousness who’s prayers is being answered by the life’s work of Dr. David R. Hawkins and others in these fields of human endeavor and potential.
A better, happier, more balanced and joyful life has tremendous and meaningful power but requires letting go of lower level emotions that have likely been buried throughout your life.
No judgment here!
This is simply the human condition and you didn’t know any better!
(I know I didn’t! I thought it was a good idea to complain about what you don’t want and don’t like!?!)
Now you have the chance to rectify that with understanding higher levels of consciousness and what that means.
Here’s an example… do you feel powerful when you are angry or proud or righteous? Do you feel like you’ve made progress and your anger, pride or righteousness is going to get you what you want?
I certainly know it can feel that way!
But in truth, there is no power in any of those energy fields! The energy fields of anger, pride and righteousness are actually destructive and downward pulling and really do nothing for you with one exception…
If you are coming from lower levels of consciousness, you will pass through some of the lower level energy fields above where you are coming from. This will feel good to you because you are entering into an energy field with more power, but you need to step into courage (and out of anger, pride, and righteousness or whatever low-level emotion you may feel) in order to affect change and really start to feel better.
(This is a whole other topic unto itself, which I’ll have to get to in another post. You can, however, find out more in Dr. Hawkin’s book: Letting Go, the Pathway to Surrender, an excellent book on how to work your way through buried, suppressed, repressed and unexpressed emotions that need a conscious outlet.)
Ok, so let’s get to the meat of the matter and why you came here! Let’s get to understanding levels of consciousness, where higher levels of consciousness hang out and how to kick start your own awakening consciousness.
Let me introduce you to The Map of Consciousness®, as introduced to the world in Dr. Hawkins renowned book Power vs Force. A scale of the levels of consciousness developed over decades of research, 1,000’s of calibrations on 1,000’s of topics using 1,000’s of people for testing.
The map is based on a logarithmic scale of 1 – 1000. 1 is equivalent to 10 to the 1st power, whereas 1,000 is 10 to the 1000th power.
As you move up the scale the power BECOMES ENORMOUS (This is the land of MEGAWATTS AND GIGAWATTS, metaphorically speaking) because of the nature of logarithms!
There are some key areas on the map that Dr. Hawkins considers “gateways” to higher levels and require stepping into courage, willingness to accept responsibility for your own life, accepting you are the creator of your own experience, understanding higher levels of reason, and rational thought and love and spiritual truths.
